our mission

At Still Life Interiors, we believe that true luxury stands the test of time. Our design ethos revolves around creating spaces that are not just fashionable today, but will endure for generations to come. By blending classic elements with contemporary aesthetics, we forge interiors that exhibit a timeless allure.

BEHIND THE DESIGN

At the end of the day, your home isn’t a hotel, it’s not a magazine, and it’s not my home. It’s your home. We work closely with our clients to ensure their home is an elevated reflection of them, an extension of their lives, their passions, and their adventures. It’s a space you long to be, because it’s curated just for you, down to the last detail.

Your Home Should Be a Reflection of You

Enduring design often blends the old and the new. We embrace the creative challenge of integrating pieces you already own and love into a new design. We place value in prioritizing your future into the design process. How will our design today interact with your life 5, 10, or even 20 years from now? With careful consideration your space can be transformed into an enduring legacy of your life.

Integrating the Past, Present, and Future

In the world of interior design, some lean towards emphasizing form, while others prioritize function. At Still Life Interiors we intentionally fuse both aspects into our designs. It’s a central passion of our design philosophy that your home should not only exude aesthetics, but it should serve you in the ways you plan to use.

Beautiful and Functional

We’re committed to achieving flawless execution, achieved through unwavering professionalism in our relationships with architects, general contractors, tradesmen, and vendors. We prioritize advocating for you, our client, in every decision-making process. Still Life Interiors is ready to integrate seamlessly into your team, ensuring meticulous attention to every detail.

Collaboration is Key

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” my mother asked while filming me dancing around the living room. “A sofa designer, a chair designer, a fabric designer.” I gleefully expressed with conviction.

It all started when I was six years old and my mother would pick me up from school early to go to drawing classes with her. These special moments fueled my innate desire to create. It has always been there.

Raised amidst home building and high-end design in picturesque Vail, Colorado, my roots are deeply embedded in the world of construction. With my father as a general contractor and my mother a skilled decorative painter, I absorbed the essence of design from a young age. The time spent on job sites working with my parents not only solidified my passion for design, but it instilled within me a sense of hard work, taking pride in the process, and an appreciation for the knowledge needed to transform a space.

But, as typical with teenagers, I thought I desired to be different from my parents, to stray from my roots, so I pursued a formal education in the sciences, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Anthropology.

But the creativity and passion for design never left me as I continued to work for local design firms throughout my college days. As I worked my way up through the ranks, I gained valuable hands-on field experience in the world of interior design and best practices for operating a successful business. Ultimately, I realized that being an interior designer is the perfect pairing of the research based, analytical education I pursued, and the creative field based life I grew up in. It is a marriage of my mind and heart.

2020 brought change to many people’s lives, myself included. That year left me embracing new beginnings, where challenges became opportunities, and from this, Still Life Interiors was born. With nearly 15 years of experience working for other design firms, my ultimate goal was to offer exceptional service to clients, ensuring complete control over the design and execution process to meet my high standards. Since then, I’ve been providing high-end design to individuals and families in Estes Park and across the Front Range.

On a personal note, I love the outdoors and getting out into nature. Traveling and experiencing new places, cultures, and environments is extremely important to me and a value I try to instill in my children, Rowan and Layton. We also have three pets—our loveable dogs, Maggie and Bourbon, and our terror of a cat, Bear.
